| New | Mt Rubidoux IOLS this past weekend | | Avengers Assemble at Camporee! Troop Avenger assembled at the Mt. Rubidoux District Camporee that was held at Lake Perris. Actually, it was the 13 participants from all over the council enrolled in Introduction to Outdoor Leader Skills (IOLS). They formed two patrols (with flags and yells!): Deadly Black Widows and Fearless Hulks. Not only did they learn the skills to lead Scouts in the outdoors but they participated in two camporee games! By forming patrols and competing as them, they learned more about the patrol method and how to effectively use it in the troop. All of the participants were either troop committee members, transitioning from Webelos or assistant Scoutmasters. They learned a lot from the trainers, comprised of Scouters, merit badge counselors and a team from Jurupa Mountains Discovery Center. They learned a lot while having lots of fun! Loki, watch out!
